The Lost Vagabond

"DOWN THE NORTHERN ALLEY" Even being a resident of Kolkata for all my life, I only got a very few chances to come in contact with the real soul of the city that resides in many ways. However, the north of Kolkata has always attracted quite a few. So, the sleepless sleepover at my place with the oldest of friends will turn to such an adventure we never knew. I do not remember who suggested such a quest at that time of the hour but the next thing we knew was that we were in one of our friend's car taking the fastest route to Tirreti Bazaar ( appealing spot for the authentic Chinese, Tibetan breakfast served ) situated by the Chittaranjan Avenue Road of North Kolkata at the breaking of the dawn. "Y EL PUEBLO UNIDO JAM ÁS SER Á VENCIDO" "THE PEOPLE UNITED SHALL ALWAYS BE VICTORIOUS" The students of Kolkata gathered from all over the city in protest against the unjust rule of the present government on January 11. For the rights, for the security to live, for life, for love, the revolution must live long.  By the words of the great poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz, "...सब ताज उछाले जाएँगे सब तख़्त गिराए जाएँगे | हम देखेंगे लाज़िम है कि हम भी देखेंगे वो दिन कि जिसका वादा है... ||" When the crowns will be tossed, When the thrones will be brought down.        "WILL YOU TAKE ME HOME?" With all the stories that my camera unfolds, it is some moments that calls for questioning, reasoning but left quite unanswered. This photograph was taken pretty long back during the festivals. I found this kid sitting outside the premises of one of the programmes, on the street, waiting. Waiting for a home. City clicks. "TO ETERNITY" While walking down the narrow lanes in the north of the city of Kolkata, I found infinity.
